The ED:SUCCESS leadership team brings over 40 years’ combined experience across education, care and wellbeing services for children and young people, with a particular focus on supporting pupils with SEMH and additional SEND needs.
Adam Walker, Proprietor and Headteacher, has over 15 years’ experience in secondary education as a qualified teacher and senior leader. Most recently, he served as Assistant Headteacher in a large mainstream secondary school, with responsibility for improving outcomes, behaviour and engagement for vulnerable learners. His leadership experience includes curriculum development, behaviour systems, safeguarding oversight and work with pupils at risk of exclusion or disengagement.
Michael brings almost 20 years’ experience from the care sector, working extensively with looked-after children and young people with SEND and complex needs. His background ensures that safeguarding, relational practice and trauma-informed support are central to daily practice at ED:SUCCESS, particularly for pupils who require consistent, emotionally secure environments.
Jennifer has held a range of roles within education, including learning mentor, pastoral lead and classroom practitioner, delivering structured lessons and providing consistent classroom support to maintain continuity of learning. Her experience gives her a strong understanding of re-engagement, behaviour support and day-to-day classroom practice. She is currently completing a Level 5 Counselling qualification, further strengthening the school’s capacity to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
The leadership team is supported by a skilled staff group of learning and wellbeing mentors, enabling ED:SUCCESS to provide a safe, structured and nurturing environment in which vulnerable learners can re-engage with education, rebuild confidence and make sustained progress.
